Project Description:
Adopting a school run by an NGO in Faridabad (Miracle school) for slum children by collecting funds @ Rs50,000 per month on a sustainable basis staring October 2010.
Creating cross functional teams in my organisation to achieve tasks that would make a difference in the organisation and to create relatedness and bonding within various functions and teams.
What I got out of this SELP:
This programe has shifted my life - from being unstoppable in expressing myself with my close family resulting in my mum coming over to stay with us in Gurgaon, my children getting back to playing tennis; Six of my work colleagues and two of my childhood friends children registering to the Landmark Forum in Delhi and Mumbai; Getting my organisation nominated and into the finals of a global award for "the emerging upstream oil producing company of the year"; taking on multiple community projects and standing for each and every participant and coaches in this programme "empowered and enabled to fulfill those matters that are of interest and importance to them".

"Remember the day Karan was training us on how to do an interview - he threw open to the house the question ' what are my short comings' and the whole house woke up to add their bit! Prior to this was the question ' what are my strengths' and he just heard Geeta and finished it at that. Whenever I have walked up to him to speak sincere words of appreciation about him, he looked nonchalant. This is Karan ! In all the wit and, all the humour and, also all the crap he doesn't lose focus and firmly holds his ground. His words may be sharp or sweet - never to comfort or hurt - but only to always bring out the distiction and make us see the point. And, lots to learn when we watch him in an arguement!
Above all, his commitment to transform the lives of the participants, his painstaking effort to see us practice the distinctions of Landmark in every aspect of our lives."

To handle so many of us "Random Molecules" oscillating in all directions and align us to oscillate only in one positive direction to create a 440 Volt ka current was amazing! I am just waiting for the Landmark Education to officially change the medium of the SELP Program to Hindi and I would love to do SELP once again with Karan."

"We met karan on on 1st workday of ‘SELP’. I found that he was good speaker with good presence of mind. He was creating humour through out his talk. As our programme proceeded, I found that he was very committed to his work. Even we sometimes blame him for marketing the landmark education, but he was not attached to it. He always encourages us to create possibilities. When one of our participant ‘Kapil’ was unable to complete his classroom, he created possibility to ensure that he was able to complete his SELP. "The fact is that the SELP is not about you or Shweta.. it's about me, it's my SELP... When I said the SELP wasn't inspiring me, fact is I wasn't inspiring myself... and also not not allowing others to reach out to me... Just showing up every week on a Monday is no way to go about it... It makes sense now.. Just wasn't playing full on from day 1 of SELP... But that's no more... Dropping it... new context... strong context... that helps me lead this SELP powerfully... and that's how life is now for me... that allows to be left inspired... my project is gonna ROCK... like it or not Karan, I am going to complete my SELP..."
